ITU AI Deep Mind Scholarship in Turkey, 2020 for Master, PhD Founded in 1944, Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (Istanbul Technical University) is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Istanbul (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited and/or recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (ITU) is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Istanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (ITU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Turkey
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects:Sc. or Ph.D. program in ITU Computer Engineering.
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • Must reside in Turkey.
  • Applicants must identify as female.
  • The grant is exclusive to students who are admitted to a M.Sc. or Ph.D. program in ITU Computer Engineering for the fall 2020-2021 term1. The applicants must apply to the aforementioned programs while applying for the opportunity .
  • Should be committed to doing original research in the field of artificial intelligence.

Offered Benefits

The sponsorship will provide the following benefits:

  • Stipend: Scholarship offers a monthly stipend of 1000 USD.
  • Equipment: Scholarship offers a one-off equipment grant of 1500 USD.
  • Travel: Scholarship offers an annual academic travel grant of 2250 USD.

Application Process

  • How to Apply: Applicants should send their application documents to info-ai-at-itu.edu.tr before the deadline.
  • Supporting Documents: Must submit CV and academic transcript of the applicant, a statement of purpose that details the candidate’s previous research experience in AI, along with the future research objectives for their graduate studies and up to three reference letters.
  • Admission Requirements: Students must have a previous year degree.
  • Language Requirement: If English is not your first language then you must submit a copy of a recent English language test certificate or provide details of when you are going to take the test.
